Occurrence of boils can be clearly known by its symptoms, in which first a light pink colored area is formed with size of ½ to ¾ inch somewhere on hair follicles. It then begins to swell slowly, giving red colored appearance with a white/yellow pointed structure at center and lumps are formed that is filled with pus. Further you may observe unpleasant smell along with extreme pain and itch.
 In some cases boils swelling present on different areas may join together to form a complicated large boils known as furuncle. Pus present inside the abscess, drain after some days when the boils grows to its full size and burst, and this marks the end of pain and the process can be further simplified with application of cloth dipped in warm water.
